Le jardin d’une femme (2020) is a reflection about the role of gardens in a city. The title is derived from Henri Michaux’s poem En Occident Le Jardin D’une Femme Indienne, in which the writer encounters a garden surrounded by high walls, in the midst of a grey, populated city. The garden “exalts, elevates, and fills” as rebellion against asphyxiation caused by an oppressive metropolis.
