Extinction (2017) is an eclectic patchwork of materials (fiction and nonfiction) led by Kolya, who is of Moldovan nationality, but declares himself a national of Transnistria. Fragments draw the viewer to the collective imaginary of the Soviet Union.

Chamber Music America Commission
Chamber Music America (CMA), the national network for ensemble music professionals, announced the recipients of its 2016 commissioning programs, supporting the creation of new works for small ensembles. Composer Andreia Pinto Correia will write a new work for the Horszowski Trio (Jesse Mills, violin, Raman Ramakrishnan, cello, and Rieko Aizawa, piano) to be premiered during the 2017-18 season.
Funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Classical Commissioning program, provides support for U.S.-based professional classical and world music ensembles and presenters for the creation and performance of new chamber works.

Andreia Pinto-Correia is awarded a League of American Orchestras/ Toulmin Foundation Commission
New York, NY (December 1, 2015) – Andreia Pinto-Correia has been selected to receive an orchestral commission as part of the League of American Orchestras’ Women Composers Commissions program, administered with the American Composers Orchestra and EarShot and supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation. Partner orchestras to premiere the works will be announced at a later date. Composer Xi Wang was also a recipient of the award.
